The Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI), developed by Hogan Assessment Systems, provides insight regarding a person's core values, goals, and interests, providing information regarding the environment in which the person will perform best and the kind of culture the person will recreate as a leader. 


From a selection standpoint, the MVPI ensures that new hires’ values align with those of the organisation and the rewards offered by the job. 


From a development standpoint, the MVPI highlights an individual’s motivators or “drivers” – what he or she desires and, as a result, likely strives to attain.  The MVPI can also help diagnose areas of compatibility and conflict among team members.
